Drew was interviewed on RTE Radio One this morning about his dearly departed award winning beard where he revealed that before last year it had been shaved only once in his entire life and that was at Luke Kelly s wake in January . He then went on to reveal that nobody outside his cl! ose friends had found out about the shaving because as the wake had lasted days by the time it was over the beard had grown back completely. The year old singer also told listeners that Luke Kelly s wake was actually entered in the Guinness Book of Records for being the longest ever recorded wake in the whole world. He spoke candidly Luke died on the Monday and I arrived at the wake on the Tuesday night that was the st of January and we didn t finish up until Sunday th of March. I tell yeh I ve never seen so much coddle ate in me whole life everyone there was making their own recipes. The lads told me to grow it back or else I d have to leave the band. So while I was waiting for the beard to grow back I had to wrap me face in an Arran jumper. The wake only came to an end after neighbours began to complain about the smell of Kelly s rotting corpse in the front bedroom. When we did finally bury him said Ronnie there wasn t much left of him to be honest we were all! too polluted to notice the smell. Once again for the slow learners it does not . The family planning issue with respect to PEPFAR is about voluntary contraception services about doing what the bill is supposed to do prevent HIV. Yet some Democrats in Congress and some AIDS advocates who should know better are climbing into bed with Gerson and Bush cuddling up to the GOP spin machine that promises to get PEPFAR passed regardless of how many lies are told or lives that could be saved are lost. It s risky behavior and perhaps that s part of the thrill. This one night stand is all about the dollars billion and if the price is high enough! some people will do anything. No one is practicing safe sex or politics in that strange bed fellow bed and it s unclear who is pimping whom. The Democrats will light up a cigarette and take uneasy comfort in Gerson s pillow talk pointing out that if they hadn t compromised their principles the social conservatives might have flown into a fitful rage slapped them around maybe even bruised and beaten them. Intimidated they just do what they re told silenced by the mere threat unable to stand up for themselves their principles or the people PEPFAR is supposed to serve.
